Frank Rogers Jr. was born August 6, 1928 in Finch, Montana to Frank Sr. and Beulah Rogers. Frank, "Jr." was the 5th of 12 children. He grew up mostly in the Howard and Custer areas and in 1948 he joined the Army and was shipped to Okinawa, Japan. Jr. was honorably discharged in 1949 due to "family hardship" as his father Frank Sr. passed away. Jr. met Jean, "Bunny" Gilbert while he was cooking at the Northern Hotel and they were married May 21, 1954. Jr. and Bunny had 3 children, Patty, Dan and Deniece, and went on to have 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Jr. worked in many different areas throughout his life but, it was his job as a 'heavy duty operator ', specifically a "Cat" operator that was his fondest job. "I just love moving dirt", he once told his dear friend Allen.

Preceding Jr. in death are his Mother Beulah and Father Frank Sr. ; his wife Bunny; son Dan; granddaughter Aimee; sisters Mildred, Bonita, and Janice; and brothers Bob, Bill, Donny,Butch and Jack.

Jr. is survived by daughters Patty French of Bakersfield, Ca. and Deniece Rogers of Portland, Oregon; sisters Betty Taylor (Jerry) of Ballantine, Judy Rogers of Forsyth and Beverly Barta (Sonny) of Forsyth; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Lastly and so very importantly, Jr. is survived by his many, many loving friends in and around Lavina; especially those from the 'Cozy Corner'!

Visitation 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, June 14, at Smith Downtown Chapel, located at 925 South 27 Street. Memorial service 1 p.m. Saturday, June 15 at the Lavina City Park, with a potluck to follow. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. Monday, June 17, at the Custer Cemetery, Custer, Montana.
