Heidi Lou Watson Obituary

Heidi Lou Watson went home to heaven on February 5, 2020. Heidi was born at Billings Clinic on September 16, 1959 to Alred and Mable Helzer. She was one of four children; Nadine, Heidi, Amy & Bryan. Heidi was born into an agricultural family & learned early in life what it took to make the best of every situation. She would find the light in the bad and make the best of every situation. She had the most beautiful smile and caring personality and a heart that never stopped giving. She was the most incredible mix of beauty and grace.

Heidi graduated from Bridger High School in 1977. She attended Billings Business College and married Butch Wilm. They moved to Casper, Wyoming where they raised four beautiful children; Adam, Nathan, Tiffany and Daniel and many more throughout the years. Our house was never empty. Eventually, Butch and Heidi would divorce.

Heidi was always very involved in the church and you could always find her playing the organ for Sunday service. Her love for the church and the values compelled her to have all her children confirmed to the Lutheran Church. One of her greatest joys.

Heidi always had a special place in her heart for animals especially her horses. Her horses is where she found comfort in life's tribulations. She had many riding memories and would always find time to ride in a moments notice, whether on the back-roads, family farm or the hills to any direction. There is where you would find her, at peace, with a huge warm smile, beautiful and happy to be in the saddle.

Heidi worked in the insurance and medical field and found a permanent home as a medical transcriptionist for the Billings Clinic, where she worked for 29 years.

Heidi met a special friend, Ron Watson, along the way and began a relationship which led to marriage on April 27, 2013 at their home in Fromberg, where she worked and took care of her dogs; Bubba, Rex, Mazzie and Sissy.

Heidi's love of flowers, especially roses and poppies, is where you could find her when she wasn't taking care of grand kids or riding horses. Heidi had many friends and a very extended family where she spent any extra free time laughing and enjoying the little things in life. She loved the outdoors whether it be hunting with Ron, gardening, riding, or enjoying all her grand kids playing sports or standing around a campfire.

Her genuine smile will never be forgotten. Mom, wife, sister, daughter and friend, you will always be in our heart and minds, your memory will never fade, and your smile will be eternal. We love and miss you everyday and God will always keep a loving smile on your face and a warm saddle under your butt. Happy Trails MA!!
