<p>Frances Marguerite Fergason</p><p><br></p><p>Red Lodge, MT – Frances Marguerite (Scranton, Parrish) Fergason, of Red Lodge, died Dec. 22, 2015. Marguerite was 94 and was living at The Willows assisted living facility. Her death followed complications from colon and liver cancer diagnosed in October 2015.</p><p><br></p><p>Marguerite Scranton was born to the late Lyle Eldred and Anna Margaret Scranton on Apr. 2, 1921 in Pittsburgh, KS. She graduated from Clinton High School, Clinton, MO in 1939, and she attended two years at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO. where she met her future husband, Keith W. Parrish of Kansas City, MO in 1940.</p><p><br></p><p>Marguerite and Keith were married on September 26, 1941, and the couple lived in Kansas City, MO until Mr. Parrish reported for duty in the U.S. Army Air Forces in 1943. After the birth of their son, David`, in 1944, Marguerite lived at several different cities as she and David followed Keith during his training as an Army Air Forces bomber pilot. She returned to her home in Clinton, MO after Keith was killed in action in April 1945.</p><p><br></p><p>Marguerite married John L. Fergason of Carrolton, MO in Clinton, MO on October 11 1946. Marguerite, John, and David lived in Lowry City, MO and Osceola, MO, where John worked for the Farmers Home Administration. Their daughter, Marguerite Ann, was born in Warrensburg, MO August 6, 1947. </p><p><br></p><p>The Fergason family moved to Anderson, MO in 1948, when John accepted a job as the high school Vocational Agriculture instructor. In 1949, they moved to Wheaton, MO, where John taught high school courses and farmed for thirty years. Marguerite worked as the high school secretary and accountant for 25 years. Their lives were greatly enriched when, in 1969, Patty Kenney became a part of their family.</p><p><br></p><p>Marguerite moved to Cody, WY after John’s death in 1985 so that she could live closer to her daughter. She resided in Cody until 2014, when she moved to Red Lodge, MT.</p><p><br></p><p>Marguerite was a member of the Wheaton Methodist Church and the Cody Community Church. She was president and active member for 15 years of the Wheaton High School PTA. </p><p><br></p><p>She enjoyed bowling and playing bridge with friends, attending concerts, and traveling. </p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her son, David Parrish (Donna) of Rapid City, SD, her daughter, Marguerite Ann Henry (David) of Roberts, MT, and her foster daughter, Patty (Kenney) Vaughan(Allen) of Forks, WA. She is also survived by William Kuster, husband of her late sister, June, and six grandchildren, Brandon Parrish(Michelle) of N. Hollywood, CA, Anne Henry of Spokane, WA, Christopher Parrish (Sharon) of Rapid City, SD, Leslie Henry of Roberts, MT, Roberta Vaughan of El Cerrita, CA and Jamie Vaughan of San Mateo, CA and three great-grandchildren. </p><p>She was preceded in death by her parents Lyle Eldred Scranton and Anna Margaret Scranton, her husband, John L. Fergason, her husband, Keith Warren Parrish, and her sister, Lyla June (Scranton) Kuster. </p><p> In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Beartooth Hospice at 2525 North Broadway, Red Lodge, MT 59068 or The Willows at 2475 Broadway Ave, Red Lodge, MT 59068.</p><p><br></p>
