Funeral services for Robert D. Belsky age 64 of Dodge, NE will be on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge, NE. Interment will be in the St. Wenceslaus Cemetery with military honors by Dodge American Legion Post #122. Closed casketed visitation will be on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will continue on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at church. There will be a FCSLA Rosary at 3:00 p.m. and a Vigil Service on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Minnick Funeral Chapel in Dodge is assisting the family with the arrangements. Bob passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in an auto accident near Dodge, NE. Robert Dale Belsky was born on October 1, 1952 at West Point, NE to Richard and Alverna (Kroenke) Belsky. He attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and graduated from Dodge High School in 1970. Bob served in the Army Reserves from 1970 to 1976. Bob began farming at the age of 16 after his father passed away and remained on the farm until moving into Dodge in 2004. He was involved with several area agriculture related businesses after moving into town. On May 31, 1975, Bob was united in marriage to Linda Brabec at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Clarkson, NE. Bob was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Catholic Workmen, and Dodge American Legion Post #122, where he had previously served as Commander. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on his tractors and participating in tractor rides, entering his Camaro in car shows, and riding motorcycles. Bob’s pride and joy was his wife, children and grandchildren. Survivors include- Wife-Linda Belsky of Dodge, NE Son-Andrew and wife Crystal Belsky of Gretna, NE and children Kinzie and Kaidence Daughter-Kylie and husband Zach Ebeling of Dodge, NE and children Adalia and Ashtyn Brother-Randy and wife Barbara Belsky of David City, NE Sister-Luann and Randy Ortmeier of West Point, NE Brother-in-law-Ted Frickenstein of West Point, NE Several nieces and nephews also survive him. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-Stephanie, and sister-LaVone Frickenstein.
