Barbara Carter
Barbara A. Carter, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare Center in Nashua. She was born on October 3, 1928 in Nashua, the daughter of the late Elmer and Ethel (MacDonald) Lathe. Barbara worked for the Batesville Casket Company in Nashua for many years as a quality control specialist until her retirement in the 1980’s. She loved to play Bingo and made annual trips to Las Vegas, NV to play, and to also visit her sister. When she wasn’t traveling to Las Vegas, Barbara enjoyed being at home with her family, feeding all of her backyard squirrels and listening to music from the 1940’s. In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her daughter Nancy Caron. Barbara is survived by her children and their spouses, June and her husband Stan Spink of Rhode Island, Lucinda Spence of Florida, Jim Spence of Nashua, Scott Spence of Franklin and Craig Carter and his wife Cheryl of Nashua and eleven grandchildren, David, Robert, Marion, Tammy, Brian, Lee, Tabitha, Jessie, Michael, Katherine and Allison. Barbara is also survived by many loving great grandchildren, extended family members and friends. SERVICES: All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
