Judith C. (Garland) Donovan “Judy”, age 76, of Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack on December 9, 2017, after a long illness. Judy was born in Boston, MA on December 29, 1940, the daughter of the late Mary C. (Stanley) Garland and Charles Herbert Garland. She attended Archbishop Williams High School and graduated from North Quincy High School in North Quincy, MA. She worked as a secretary in hospitals in Boston and Nashua, and the last 20 years of her working life, she was a secretary at Nashua Corporation in the treasury department. She was oxygen dependent for many years and spent most of her time at home. She was a member of the “At Home Yarn Ministry” at St. John Neuman’s Church in which she knitted and crocheted prayer shawls for people in Hospice Care and the elderly. She found great joy and peace to be able to do this. She was the widow of the late Roger L. Donovan who passed away in 2008. She leaves two sons, Christopher R. Donovan and his wife Tracey of North Hampton and Bryan T. Donovan Sr. of Nashua, as well as six grandchildren, Nick Donovan of Rochester, Sean and Hannah Donovan of North Hampton, Bryan T. Jr. and Nevin Donovan of Lyndeborough and Amanda and her husband Jeffrey Boucher of Milford and three great grandchildren, Lily and Evelyn Boucher of Milford and Drew Donovan of Farmington. She loved them all dearly. She also leaves her beloved sister Marianne Donna of Quincy, MA and her goddaughter and niece Cathy and her husband Mark Bianco of Weymouth, MA, as well as several nieces and nephews. She also had a special place in her heart for her two best friends of over 50 years, Marianne Eaton and Moe Phelps, both of Nashua, NH. SERVICES: Visitation will be held privately. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial to be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 10:00AM at the St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 708 Milford Rd., Merrimack, NH 03054. Burial will immediately follow in the St. Louis Cemetery, West Hollis St., Nashua.
