Clare McShea Obituary

Clare E. McShea, age 81, of Bayville, passed away at Community Medical Center on Tuesday December 17, 2019 surrounded by family. Clare was born September 4, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Francis and Margaret Bradley. She retired 25 years ago after 20+ years of service as an Administrative Assistant in the Athletics Department at St. Joseph / Monsignor Donovan High School in Toms River. Clare was an active member of St. Barnabas R.C. Church in Bayville. She was a loving mother and wife, a devoted Catholic and a strong example to her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed all sports, especially watching her children and now grandchildren. Clare will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and we know she will be watching over us from heaven. Clare is predeceased by her parents; brothers Brick, Joseph, William; sisters, Margaret, Catherine, and Regina. Clare is survived by her husband, James; son, James and his wife Pauline of Tuckerton; son, Timothy and his wife Elisha of Hopewell; daughter, Maureen Yarnevich and her husband David of Ellicott City, MD; son, Matthew and his wife Betsy of Hainesport. She is also survived by 4 sisters, Mary, Ann, Helen, and Rose. Clare also has 9 grandchildren (Kristin, Jennifer, Jasmine, Tyler, Matthew, Katie, Nicholas, Sara, and Meghan and 1 great grandchild, Ava. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday December 22, 2019 from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 706 Atlantic City Blvd. Bayville, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am, Monday, December 23, 2019 at St. Barnabas R.C. Church, 33 Woodland Rd, Bayville, NJ with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
