Jeanette Rocco

Jeanette Rocco, 81, of Toms River, NJ, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Haven, Manchester, NJ. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she grew up in Garwood and lived in Scotch Plains before moving to Toms River 38 years ago. Jean was a graduate of Glassboro State College and was a Physical Education Teacher of the Rahway School System for over 30 years, retiring in 1991. Jean put love and dedication into everything she did and made a significant impact on every life she touched, especially those of her students. She was predeceased by her domestic partner of nearly 51 years, Doris Del Conte, and her parents, Samuel and Frances Rocco. Jean is survived by many loving friends and family members who will miss her dearly. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 18, 2018 2:00-6:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals O’Connell Chapel, 706 Hwy 9, Bayville, NJ. A funeral service will be offered Monday, March 19, 2018 11:00am at the funeral home; Entombment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
