Arlene Forte Arlene Forte (nee King) COLUMBUS, NJ, 80, peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, April 9, 2020. Formerly of Wayne, NJ, Arlene was born in Paterson to Russell and Helen King. She retired to Columbus 28 years ago. Arlene is survived by her son, Kevin Forte of Blairstown, NJ, her grandchildren, Max (Sheri) and Tyler, and her much loved Macaw, MIKO. She is survived by her nieces, and nephews, Michael (Helen) Petruska, Lori (Jack) Ellicott, Frank Ricciardi and Niki (Tommy) Lanza and their children. Arlene was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Sheila Micek; and her beloved partner of 39 years, Beatrice Guida. She is also survived by Bea’s children, Kathy, Eileen (Craig) Patterson and their son, Brian (Danielle Nelson) and daughter Brooke, and Michael (Maria) and their children Christopher, Ryan and Marissa. Up until the time of her passing, Arlene worked several days a week at Nade’s Auto Auction. Arlene was very active in her community. Having performed for many years in the Annual Follies, she enjoyed singing, dancing and doing comedy skits. She loved her weekly card games. She enjoyed traveling and had many wonderful memories of trips to Alaska and Europe, cruises to the Islands, visiting friends and family in Florida and the many day trips and luncheons with her friends at Homestead at Mansfield. Arlene was so full of life and never shied away from fun, whether it be her annual Mother’s Day Harley ride on the seat behind her son, parasailing above the blue waters of the Caribbean or hopping in a boat to cruise Barnegat Bay! She enjoyed sharing her quick wit and awesome sense of humor with all. She was humble, a loyal friend, a loving Mom and grandmother, and an awesome Aunt and surrogate Mom to her sister’s and Bea’s children. Until we meet again, your love will be our guide and may you enjoy all your card games in Heaven! A Celebration of Life will be planned for friends and family once it is allowed.
