Obituary
Dateline Bordentown,
Bartholomew J. Nappa Jr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 27th 2015 at Hamilton Continuing Care with his loving sons by his side.
Born in Queen’s NY, he was a longtime member of the East Windsor/ Hightstown community before moving to Bordentown in 2003. Bart enlisted in The United States Army in 1961; he was honorably discharged in 1963. After the Army he was employed with UPS as a truck driver, retiring after 39 years of dedicated service.
He was a proud Life member of Hightstown Engine Company #1 & East Windsor Fire Department #2.
Bart joined the Knights of Columbus Bordentown Council 570 in 2009. He held the position of inside guard for the council for the last 5 yrs. He served as District Warden of District 32 from July 2012 to July 2015-3 yrs. He was a member of Bishop Ahr Assembly 4th degree and a proud parishioner of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Bordentown
Bart’s greatest joy in life was his family; he will always be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and a wonderful friend who touched the lives of everyone he met.
Son of the late Bartholomew J Sr. and Christina Nappa, he is predeceased by his beloved wife, Roselie R. Nappa, his brother Joseph Nappa. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, James and Lorraine Nappa, Richard and Lynn Nappa, his grandchildren, Jake, Jared, Jeremy Nappa, Kimberly Abreu, Jen and Joseph Wills, his great grandchildren, Aviana, Evalise, Jolie, Easton, Ellie, Mattie, Joey, Jianna, his sister, Maryann Paterson, and many nieces, nephews, a very close friend, Tim Curry as well as many dear friends.
Memorial donations may be made in Bart’s name to Hightstown Engine Co No. 1, 140 N Main St. Hightstown, NJ 08520.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday November 4th 2015 10 am at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church 45 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ 08505.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 2~4 pm & 7~9 pm and Wednesday morning from 8:30 am ~ 9:30 am at the Bordentown Home for funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ 08505. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park East Brunswick.
