Obituary for Brynn N. Tunney

Brynn Noelle Tunney, 34, of Bordentown, New Jersey passed away suddenly on July 31, 2018. She was born in Willingboro on Dec. 13, 1983 and resided in Bordentown most of her life.

Brynn is survived by her parents, Michael D. Sr. and Nancy Shaw Tunney; her two sisters, Kara Mae and Greg Dechaine, Brianne “Bub” Tunney and Brian Johnson, her maternal grandmother, Peggy Foltermann. Her loving nephew and nieces, Rylan Blue Martinelli, Brieah Michaela Johnson and Kensie Mae Dechaine.

Brynn is predeceased by her older brother, Michael D. “Tunn” Tunney Jr. Her maternal grandfathers, Donald M. Shaw Sr. and Preacher Foltermann and her paternal grandparents, Anthony P. Jr. and Patricia (DuBell) Tunney.

Brynn graduated from Bordentown Regional High School and went on to become an ophthalmologic assistant and aesthetician who worked fearlessly and took much pride in her accomplishments.

For many years she fought a fearless battle with addiction and despite her valiant efforts, addiction took her young life. She had several periods of sobriety over the last years; however, her disease prevailed as she hopelessly fell into its grip one last time. Brynn was feisty and charismatic and her beautiful smile and eyes lit up any room. She loved her family deeply and especially enjoyed spending time with her nephew and nieces. Our hearts will forever feel the loss and emptiness of her unconditional love. We have solace in knowing that Brynn has joined her brother Mike at home where we will all be together again.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM, Wednesday (August 8th) at Christ Episcopal Church, Prince St., Bordentown. Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 pm Tuesday (August 7) at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direct care and supervision of Robert L. Pecht, Bordentown Home for Funerals, 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. www.bordentownhomeforfunerals.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made payable to Nancy Tunney with the memo indicating “Brynn N. Tunney Memorial” in care of Investors Bank, 213 U.S. 130, Bordentown, NJ 08505.
