Dateline Columbus Charles M “Charlie” Gagliardi passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 19th 2014 at his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Brooklyn NY, he resided in Old Bridge until 2001 when he moved to Four Seasons in Columbus. Charlie enlisted in The United States Navy in August of 1959; he was honorably discharged in 1965. Charlie was employed on Wall Street as a Stockbroker, starting his career with Chase Manhattan and retiring from Merrill Lynch in 2000. Affectionately know as “Charlie Gags” he will be remembered for his ability to make people laugh. He was a proud parishioner of St. Mary’s Church and a member of the Four Seasons Chorus and Bowling Club. But the greatest joy in Charlie’s life was his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and caring friend and will be missed by many. The son of the late Nicholas and Anna Gagliardi, he is survived by his beloved wife, Connie Gagliardi, his loving daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Forrest Koenig, Nicola and Andy Torbik, Jennifer and Bobby Santaniello, his adoring grandchildren, Gunnar and Wyatt Koenig, Carrie and Sara Torbik, Victoria, Dominick and Francesca Santaniello, his sisters and brother-in-law, Paula and Jim DeCasperis, Arlene Murphy, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 24th 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Roman catholic Church 45 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4:00 ~ 8:00pm and on Monday morning 9:30 ~10:30 am at the Bordentown Home for Funerals, 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ. Interment will be Private.
