Dateline Hamilton Charles R. Thompson passed away peacefully on Sunday March 3rd , 2019 at Cooper University Health Care with his loving family by his side. Born in La Porte Indiana, Charles was a long time resident of Hamilton Township. From the time when he could, Charles always had a job. He was employed at Gaum Inc in Robbinsville as a machinist. He also served as a youth soccer coach and softball coach in Hamilton and Bordentown. He volunteered as the technical director for the children’s theater his family ran together, Odd Act Theatre Group, where he was known as “the mayor.” Charles lived his life with no regrets and was always determined to learn something new. Charles’s great joy in life was being a family man. His encouragement and love for his family was endless. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather and will be missed by many. Son of the late Robert F. Thompson, he is predeceased by his siblings, Jerry Thompson and Susan Nutret. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Lynee Thompson, his adoring children, Robert and (Katie) Thompson, Lauren Thompson and ( Joe Shallow) his cherished granddaughter, Corinne Mae Thompson, his mother, Shirley Thompson, his siblings, Linda Senf, Beth Thompson, Keith Thompson, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and (Cindy) Prout, Michelle Prout, Maurya Prout, Keith Prout, family friends Garry and Kathie McMahon and their children Ryan McMahon and Jessica Pescatore and many nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles’s memory to MD Anderson Cooper Cancer Center earmarked for prostate cancer. A Celebration of Charles’s life will be held on Friday March 8th, 2019 at 7:30 pm at the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 6:30 pm until the time of the Service. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direct care and supervision of Robert L.
