Dateline Columbus Jeffrey Alan Johnston, 49, was called home to the Lord on Wednesday July 25th at Capital Health Regional Hospital in Trenton with his loving family by his side. Jeff was born in Trenton, NJ and lived in Lawrenceville and Bordentown areas most of his life. He is survived by his loving daughter, Edera Daubert; his parents, Robert and Marian Johnston; a brother, Robert Johnston II; a sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Adam Aronson of San Rafael, California; a niece, Vivienne Aronson and a nephew, Evan Aronson along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jeff had a degree in Programming from Cittone Institute, earned a BS in Psychology obtaining the Arnold Fletcher Award for excellence from Thomas Edison College and was studying for a graduate degree in Human Resource Management. Jeff was employed as a computer software consultant, worked for Virtus advertising, Burlington County Board of Social Services and New Jersey Labor & Workforce Development during his career. He was a voracious reader, reading everything from history, politics, philosophy and the classics. He enjoyed political satire & watching old movies. He took pleasure in discussions of world affairs with his friends. Jeff was an excellent writer of poetry and music as well as a self-taught guitarist. His love for music generated many songs that he wrote both the music score and the lyrics for. He will be remembered as a humble, caring and generous person ready to assist anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by those he touched in life. At the family’s request, in Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jeffrey’s name to AFAR, 59 Chestnut Hill Lane, Columbus, NJ 08022-1048. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, 1:00 pm at Mary Mother of the Church parish, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ 08505. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. At the family’s request visitation will be private. Arrangements are under the direct care and supervision of Robert L.
