Lawrence H. “Duke” Mercantini Jr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 11th 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton with his loving family by his side. Born in Trenton, he was a life long resident of Bordentown. Duke served in The United States Army Military Police. He was then employed with Lucas Chevrolet and then with St. Mary’s School from 1996~2011. He was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, the Post Commander of The American Legion Bordentown Post 26, a former member of Consolidated Fire Association, the Knights of Columbus Council 570 and the Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085.


The son of the late Lawrence H and Janet Mercantini, he is survived by his wife, Donna Lynn (Toppin) Mercantini, his daughters, Anna Marie and Catherine Anne, his siblings, Joann Mercantini (Billy), Teresa and Nicky Valli, Patricia and Tom Marion, Janet Mercantini (Paul), Daryl and Helen Mercantini, Mary Johnson, Richard Mercantini, Robert and Erin Mercantini, Laurene Ermie (Chris), Dana Taylor (Scott), Annette Mercantini, Mother Deborah Mercantini.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday , February 18th , at 11.a.m., at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Monday afternoon 3~5pm & 7~9pm and Tuesday morning, from 9:30 to 10:30p.m., at the Bordentown Home for Funerals, 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Bordentown.
