Dateline Bordentown Township Richard J. Lazurick, passed away peacefully on Sunday October 4th 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in Hamilton. Born in Hazelton PA he was a long time resident of Bordentown. Richard “Richie or Dick” went to McAdoo High School where he was an all star athlete in both football and basketball and helped lead the team to numerous championships. He was accepted to Penn State University to study drafting and design technology. Richard entered into The United State Army in 1963 and was stationed at Fort Dix. During his enlistment he met the love of his life Karen Biondi where she worked on base. Upon his separation from the Army, he held a number of positions in manufacturing operations management. While working as a manufacturing Supervisor with Argus International in Hopewell, NJ, Richard enrolled in Rutgers University going to school at night while working during the day. He graduated with a Degree in Business. As an avid sports enthusiast; Richard enjoyed coaching his children in the area sports leagues and later in life enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s wrestling, basketball, field hockey and softball games. But his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and he will be dearly missed. Son of the late John and Helen Lazurick, he is predeceased by his sister, Gloria Boore, he is survived by his loving wife Karen Lazurick, his daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia and Werner Nitschmann, Suzanne Lazurick, his son, Kevin Lazurick, his grandchildren, Christopher, Caitlin and Nicholas, his brother, Kenneth Lazurick, and many nieces, nephews and friends. At the request of the family services will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Richard’s name to American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
