Dateline Bordentown Robert E. O’Dwyer, age 85 passed away peacefully on Friday June 16 2017 at Capital Health Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Born in Trenton N.J., Bob was a long time resident of the Community. A graduate of Trenton Catholic Boys High School; Bob was employed first by NAFI Corp and then by various General and Electrical Contractor’s from New York, New Jersey, Penna. Texas, and Turner Construction as an Accountant, Paymaster and Purchasing Agent He was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church of Bordentown, a member of the Knights of Columbus No. 570, Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085, member of the St. Mary’s and Bordentown Seniors, an Adult member of BSA Troops Nos. 13 and 64 and coached in the Bordentown Community Basketball League for many years. But Bob’s greatest joy in life was his family; he will always be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and a wonderful friend who touched the lives of everyone he met. Son of the late Edward J. and Catherine M. O’Dwyer nee Brennan, he is predeceased by his son, Michael J. O’Dwyer, he is survived by his beloved wife, Josephine L. “Catalano” O’Dwyer, his daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn E and Barry Allen, his sons and daughters-in-law, Robert E. Jr. and Rita O’Dwyer, Paul J. and Jill O’Dwyer, his grand children, Katie, Robert, John, Connor, and Cole his sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Robert Kelty, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Memorial donations may be made in Bob’s name to a Charity of Donor’s choice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday June 21 2017 10 am at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church 45 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ 08505. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 6~9 pm and Wednesday morning from 8:30 ~ 9:30 am at the Bordentown Home for funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ 08505. Interment will follow at Bordentown Cemetery, Bordentown. Arrangements are under the direct care and supervision of Robert L. Pecht, Bordentown Home for Funerals, 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ 08505.
