Rose Marie Lynch Bordentown, New Jersey Obituary

Rose Marie Lynch

Rose Marie Lynch (Hartmann) age 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9th, 2019 at home with her loving family by her side. Born in Trenton, on July 24th 1929, she was a lifelong resident of the Bordentown Community. After graduating from the Saint Francis School of Nursing and studying at John Hopkins University, she became the head nurse of the pediatric ward at St. Francis Hospital. During that time she had met the love of her life, Joseph W. Lynch and they were married on October 25, 1952 at St Mary’s Church of Bordentown. Her love of babies never ceased as she decided to have her very own pediatric ward at home by being the mother to seven children. When her domestic duties became less, she began work at the Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085 as an administrative secretary / hostess and event coordinator for banquets and weddings. She performed her job with a tremendous amount of passion and pride and dedicated herself to her position. She guided the young kitchen helpers as if they were one of her own children and many have often referred to her as their second mom. Having so many children at home, when it came to slicing a cake for a wedding or event, she could cut it like no other, making sure there was enough for everyone. She found joy playing cards and scrabble with friends and spending winters in Indiantown Florida. Daughter of the late George A. and Rose (Varley) Hartmann, she is predeceased by her siblings, George Hartmann Jr., Marguerite Hartmann Johnson, Raymond Hartmann and Grandson Kyle Lynch. Rose is survived by her husband of 66 years Joseph W “Joe” Lynch, children, Joseph W. Lynch Jr (Denise), Patrick M. Lynch (Beverly), Michael T. Lynch (Mary), Kevin B.
