Dateline Bordentown City Thelma M. Allen passed away peacefully on Thursday February 5th 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton. Born in Trenton, she was a long time resident of Bordentown City. Thelma was employed and retired from Ocean Spray after over 35 years of dedicated service. She was an avid reader and will be remembered for her love of crossword puzzles and sharing her childhood memories with her grandchildren. The daughter of the late Jonathan and Viola Price, she is predeceased by her husband, William K. Allen Jr. and her son William K. Allen III., she is survived by her children, Maryjane Hewitt, Ellen and (Tom) Foster, Bonnie Allen and Keith Allen, her grandchildren, Lindsay, Tara, Anthony (AJ), Bryan, Samantha, Kylei, Beau, her great grandchildren, Xzander, Vincent (Vinny), Kya, Nathan, Victoria, Alex, her sisters, Mary Jane (John) Stout and Viola Price, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A Celebration of Thelma’s life will be held on Tuesday February 10th 2015 at 12pm at The Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. Calling hours will be held Tuesday morning from 10:00 am until time of Service. Burial will be private. Memorial Donations may be made in Thelma’s name to either Burlington County Animal Alliance (BCAA) c/o Lorraine Schrieber 7 Pioneer Lane Willingboro, NJ 08046. or St. Jude Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
