Dateline Chesterfield Thomas M. “Mike” Walsh III, passed away on Saturday May 27 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. Born in Trenton, he was a long time resident of the Bordentown-Chesterfield community. Mike served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was employed as a manager of Audit Operations for the NJ Turnpike Department and retired in 2008 after 24 years of dedicated service. HE was parishioner of St. Mary’s Church as well as a Trustee and Life Member of New Egypt Elks Lodge 2457, Ervin V. Hamilton American Legion Post 26 Bordentown and the VFW. But the greatest joy in Mike’s life was his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother and he will be missed by many. Son of the late Thomas M. Walsh Jr, and Mildred Walsh, he is survived by his wife, Bernadette Walsh, son Jonathan Walsh, grandchildren, Kaili and Jaxson Walsh, brother and sister-in-law, Vincent and Barbara Walsh, sister, Rosemary Walsh and many nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Mike’s name to the Semper Fi Fund and America’s Fund 825 College Blvd, Suite 102 PMB 609 Oceanside, CA 9205. A Celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Thursday June 1 2017 6:00pm at the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. Calling hours will be held Thursday fro 5:00pm until time of service. Arrangements are under the direct care and supervision of Robert L. Pecht, Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown, NJ 08505.
