Veronica Shea Obituary

Veronica C. Shea (nee Kula), 95, of Bordentown, entered into God’s care on December 31,2019, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton. Born and raised in Olean, New York, Veronica graduated from Olean High School and served as a secretary in the high school administration office until moving to the Trenton area in 1948. She married her husband, Conrad, on February 18, 1950. They settled into Bordentown later that same year and began to raise their family. She has been a resident of the Clare Estates of Bordentown for the past 5 years. She was a devout and dedicated parishioner of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and a member of the St. Mary’s Choir for many years. Veronica was also an avid and talented quilter who , for several decades , created beautiful, award-winning quilts and wall-hangings that continue to delight to her family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Ansom (Anthony) Kula and Maryanna Kuwick Kula; her husband, Conrad F. Shea; 4 sisters (Amelia, Sophia, Angelina and Josephine) and 3 brothers (Frank, Stanley and Walter). She is survived by two sisters: Mary and Theresa; two sons: Michael William of Westcliffe, Colorado and James Conrad of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Diane Affeldt Knott of Mansfield, PA and Eileen Shea Pazder of Bordentown; 8 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Roni’s name to DAV Charitable Services Trust: 3725 Alexandria Pike Cold Spring, KY 41076. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday January 10, 2020 11:30 am at Mary Mother of the church Parish 45 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ 08505. Calling hours will be held on Friday morning from 10:00 ~ 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bordentown Cemetery Arrangements are under the direct care and supervision of Robert L.
