Rosemary Virginia Burns Brick, New Jersey Obituary

Rosemary Virginia Burns

On Sunday, May 31, Rosemary (Florio) Burns passed away at the age of 93. Rosemary was born on February 9, 1927 in Roselle Park, NJ and was preceded in death by her husband, Mickey, her parents and her six siblings, Charles, Rocco, Anthony, Josephine, Catherine, and Michael. Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Eileen and husband, Kenneth Miller, grandchildren, Kenneth III and his wife, Stephanie and Loren Fuhring and her husband Jarrod, and great-grandchildren, Taylor and Chase Fuhring, Sloan, Aston and Kenneth Miller IV (Kam). Rosemary also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Rosemary worked for over forty years for AT&T and was a reluctant golf partner for Mickey. They had over 50 years of marriage and celebrated each and every special occasion with their family. Rosemary was born, raised and lived in Roselle Park until the age of 89 when she moved to Brandywine Assisted Living in Brick NJ to be near her family. Everyday at Brandywine was a day filled with singing and memories of Rosemary’s happy life. She would be in the “pub”, singing, “It had to be you”. The staff at Brandywine made sure that Ro (hot dog) was always at her best. Eileen and Ken want to thank Kathy & Kurt Rahnenfuher, Dee Rudson, Linda Florio and Ginny Doherty for their constant visits, gifts, and love for Rosemary. Also, there are no words to describe the outstanding care and compassion that she received from the greatest caregivers, Jani and Cece. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Burial will be private with a celebration of Rosemary’s life at a later date. To send condolences, please visit www.obrienfuneralhome.com.
