Hilda Jimenez (nee Mesa), 93, a lifelong resident of West New York, passed away on March 1, 2021. Hilda was born in Cuba and came to the U.S.A. in 1962. Prior to retiring, she was a Teacher Assistant at Union City Day Care in Union City for a few years. Hilda was a great cook, she enjoyed sewing, traveling, spending time with her granddaughter and loved to pamper herself by getting manicures, pedicures and having her hair done. Beloved wife of the late Antonio Jimenez. Loving mother of Hilda Campos and her husband Eliecer. Cherished grandmother of Melissa Podeia and her husband Michael and great grandmother of Sophia and Antonio. Dear sister of the late Eloy Mesa and Josefina Fuego. Devoted daughter of the late Felipe and Socorro Rionda. Funeral departing from the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 9:00 AM for a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, East Rutherford at 9:30 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation Thursday evening 5-9 PM.
