Jeffrey Chelius, 63, of Caldwell, N.J., passed away on September 2, 2019 at his home, with his loving family by his side. Visitation will be on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. at Shook’s Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, N.J. The Trisagion will be offered at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be offered on Friday, Sept. 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church, 818 Valley Road, Clifton, N.J. Born in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Gerald E. and Virginia E. Chelius, Jeff lived in Essex Fells, N.J. before settling in Caldwell 35 years ago. He co-owned J. Harris Jewelers, Caldwell, specializing in custom design jewelry pieces. A true artist on many levels, he loved to cook, play guitar with his buddies, and paint for friends and family. He was a coach with the Caldwell/West Caldwell Soccer Club for many years and was an active member of the community. He was a parishioner of St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church, Clifton. Predeceased by his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Linda (nee: Saunders); cherished sons, Alex and Nick, and his wife, Casey; and siblings, Gerry, Craig, and Jack Chelius and Beth Langlois.
