Robert C. Ringer, 91, of Cedar Grove, died on September 5, 2019. Friends and relatives are invited for memorial visitation on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 12 pm through 2 pm at Shook''s Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009. Marine Funeral Honors will commence at 1:30 pm. Memories and condolences may be shared at shookscedargrove.com. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, he settled in Cedar Grove. During the Korean War, he honorably served in the Marine Corps. In his time of service, he was held as a prisoner of war and received a Purple Heart Medal for his courage during the war. Afterwards, he was a true entrepreneur, owning a variety of livery businesses throughout his life. In his spare time, he was a member of the Hardware Store Club. Pre-deceased by his parents, Clyde and Rowena Ringer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Cristina Ringer (Marques) and his loving nieces, Linda and Sandy. Also surviving are many extended relatives and friends.
