Obituary for Joseph John Kuhn

Joseph John Kuhn, Jr., age 90, of Ewing, entered into God’s eternal rest on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Capital Health Hopewell surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton, NJ Joseph was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Trenton Catholic High School. Joseph served his country honorably during the Korean War as a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was dutifully employed for 42 years, retiring in 1982 as Senior Classifications Officer for the State of NJ Department of Corrections.
Joseph was a parishioner of St. James Church, a member of its senior citizens and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Trenton Council No. 355. He was an avid New York Yankees fan, who enjoyed collecting stamps, watching old movies and tv western shows, his favorite being Gunsmoke. In his early years he was in a band playing the piano. Joseph was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend.

Son of the late Joseph Sr. and Etta (Talarowski) Kuhn; brother of the late Lorraine Slaboda; great grandfather of the late Qadan; Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Mary Ann (Ianni) Kuhn; two loving children, Joseph P. Kuhn III and wife Debbie and Kathleen Kuhn; four grandchildren, Jacquelyn and husband Anthony Provenzano, Marissa, Christopher and Becca Kuhn; and other family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Incarnation Church, 1545 Pennington Rd., Ewing, NJ. Burial will follow in the Washington National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA. Family and friends may pay their respects Thursday morning from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Ave., Ewing, NJ 08638.
