Margaret “Peg” Fort, 87, of Lawrenceville, entered into God’s Loving Care, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Capital Health System at Fuld in Trenton. Born in Trenton, she resided in Ewing most of her life prior to moving to Lawrenceville, where she resided for the past twelve years. Peg as she was affectionately known by her family and friends was formerly employed for twenty-five years with Princeton University Press until her retirement. She was a member of Pennington Road Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Lawrenceville Senior Citizens where she enjoyed teaching crocheting. In 2014, Peg was awarded a Certification of Appreciation from Lawrence Township in recognition of her valuable contributions to the quality of life of Lawrence Township Seniors for her talents in crocheting and crafts. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a special friend to everyone. Predeceased by her parents, John Joseph and Emma Frances (Almond) Carr, seven brothers and seven sisters and her husbands, Carl Albert Fort and Carl Draggert, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin C. and Carole Fort and Leonard W. and Kathy Fort; five cherished grandchildren, Jessica Luz and husband Greg, Bryan Fort and wife Tamara, Tara Heredia and husband Jose, Amanda Warshefski and husband Paul and Daniel Fort and fiancée Brittany Mantone; twelve adored great grandchildren, Maxwell, Cooper, Myles, Olivia, Enzo, Gavin, Royce, Aiden, Jacob, Riley, McKenna and Rene; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm on Friday, March 17 at Parkside Brenna Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Avenue, Ewing, NJ with The Rev. A. Rebecca Resch of Abiding Presence Lutheran Church in Ewing officiating. Burial will follow in Ewing Church Cemetery, 100 Scotch Road, Ewing, NJ 08628. Calling hours will be Friday, March 17 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
