Nicola Armenti

Nicola Armenti, 86, of Ewing, entered into God’s Loving Care Friday, October 3, 2014 at his residence. Born and raised in Pettoranello, Italy, Nicola immigrated to the United States in 1954 with his loving young bride. The newlyweds settled in Princeton where they resided for 23 years prior to moving to Ewing in 1977. Nicola was formerly employed with David Sarnoff Corporation in Princeton for thirty-six years prior to his retirement in 1993. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Lawrenceville; he enjoyed the outdoors, spending time in his garden, but most of all he enjoyed being with his loving family. Nicola was a gentle person, devoted loving husband, brother, uncle and great-uncle, cousin and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Predeceased by his parents, Domenico and Carmina (Rossi) Armenti, his loving wife of 57 years, Antonietta (Pinelli) Armenti, brother Sebastiano Armenti, brother-in-law, Pietro DiPilla, three nephews, Domenico Armenti, Domenico Lancellotta and William Clark, Jr., he is survived by his loving brother and sisters, Biagio Armenti and wife Ada of Ewing, Maria Assunta DiPilla of Isernia, Italy and Angiolina Mucci and husband Franco of Ewing; also survived by three sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Luisa Armenti, Ernestina and Giuseppe DiMeglio and Pierina Celli, and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, here and in Italy. The Funeral will be held 9:15 am Thursday, October 9, 2014 from Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Avenue, Ewing, NJ 08638. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Thursday at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Entombment will follow Ewing Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 8, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
