Gilda Busso

Gilda “Jeanette” Busso, 82, of Freehold passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Bartley Healthcare in Jackson. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, settling in Freehold Township in 1991. Gilda worked as a seamstress and was also a CCD educator. She was dedicated to the chapel at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Freehold, a member of the Rosary Altar Society, and an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist. She was an adorer of the blessed sacrament and a recipient of the discipleship in 2013. Gilda was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Andrew Busso in 1991. She is survived by her children, Joseph Busso of Staten Island, Annamarie Esposito and her husband, Phil of Freehold, and Andrew Busso and his wife, Melissa of Staten Island; grandchildren, Nick Esposito and his wife, Teri of Jackson, Andrew Esposito of Cranford, Marissa Busso of Freehold, Andrew Busso III of Staten Island, Jaiden Busso of Staten Island, Maisen Busso of Staten Island, Austin Busso of Staten Island, and Aiden Busso of Staten Island; sister, Louisa Jewell of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home at 8:45 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Monday, August 28, 2017 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold. Interment will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY.
