Beatrice Garvin "Aunt Bea", 85, of Hazlet, died Tuesday July 8th, at Regency Park Nursing Center, Hazlet. Born in Schenectady, NY, lived in Jersey City, prior to moving to Keansburg in 1960. Beatrice worked for Charles of the Ritz and retired in the 80's. She adored her friends and family and enjoyed playing bingo, taking day trips and watching Mets baseball games. She was pre-deceased by her husband James A. Garvin in 1977. Surviving is her son James Garvin of East Windsor and her 2 daughters and son in-law Cheryl West of Monroe, Margaret & Kevin Nordyke of GA. Her sister Ida Payne of FL and her brother Walter Altano of Hasbrook Heights. 2 grandchildren Jim Garvin of Middletown & Kelly Roman of Eatontown. 4 great- grandchildren Olivia, Jimmy, Nicholas & Sofia. Many extended grandchildren & great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend, "A Celebration of Life" Saturday August 2nd at 11:00AM, St. John's Methodist Church, 2000 Florence Ave. Hazlet.
