Claude Kirkpatrick Obituary

Claude Raymond Kirkpatrick, 73, of Keansburg, passed away on Thursday April 28th, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He was born in Newark on October 9th, 1937 to Raymond and Ethel VanBlargan Kirkpatrick. Claude enlisted in the United States Air Force in October of 1956. He was assigned to the 562nd fighter wing stationed in Etain, France and was honorably discharged in October 1960. He worked for Blonder and Tongue Labs as a production manager from 1961-2003. He was born in Newark, lived in Florida, prior to moving to Keansburg in October of 1963. Claude was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America, was Pack Leader for Cub Scout Troop 115 from 1976-1998 and Troop Leader for Boy Scout Troop 261 from 1981-1995. Claude was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Mary Yuelling-Kirkpatrick of 47 years in 2004. His parents Raymond and Ethel VanBlargan-Kirkpatrick both in 1984. His brother Dallas C. Kirkpatrick in 1997 and his nephew Kevin D. Kirkpatrick in 1996. Surviving are his 2 sons and daughter in-law. Trevor D. and Karen Kirkpatrick of Toms River and Claude R. Kirkpatrick Jr. of Keansburg; 2 daughters and son in-law Patricia S. and Michael W. Donaldson of Keansburg, and Jeaniemarie C. Kirkpatrick and her fiancé Christopher Call of Brick; His dear grandchildren Daniel P. Donaldson, Taylor M. Kirkpatrick and Colleen P. Kirkpatrick; his uncle Raymond VanBlargan of Whippany; sister in-law Suzanne Kirkpatrick of Wenonah; nephew and his wife Keith and Cindy Kirkpatrick of Sicklerville and 2 great-nephews Keith and Gregory Kirkpatrick. Family will be accepting friends on Sunday 2-6PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. A religious service will be held on Sunday evening at 5:30PM. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Foundation.
