Dennis C. Brooks, 59, of Keansburg, passed away on Sunday August 29th, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Staten Island and has been a life long resident of Keansburg. Dennis was a Vietnam War Veteran for the US Army and was awarded the bronze star. He also was a self employed construction worker, loved the Yankees and his granddaughter Lia. Dennis was pre-deceased by his parents Jasper and Amelia Brooks. Surviving is his loving wife of 38 years Cathy Brooks of Keansburg; his daughter and son in-law Jennifer and Neil Brown Jr. of Keansburg; 2 brothers and sisters in-law Jim and Cathy Brooks of California and Jack and Susan Brooks of Middletown; 2 sisters and brother in-law Alice Brooks of Keansburg and Carol and Barry Graham of Keansburg; granddaughter Lia; 2 god children James and Caitlin and many nieces and nephews. Family will be accepting friends on Thursday 5-9PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Internment will be on Friday at 11:30AM at the Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown.
