Diane C. Smith, 70, of Hazlet Township, passed away on Monday, June 6th, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was born and raised in Jersey City, prior to moving to Hazlet Township in 1974. Diane was a retired legal secretary for Rudnick, Addonizio, Pappa & Casazza in Hazlet. She was an avid thimble collector, enjoyed crossword puzzles and covered bridges. Diane was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Peter J. Smith in 2013. Surviving is her son, Stephen Smith of Hazlet; her daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Robert Mesagna of Barnegat; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Arrangements were under the direction of the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
