Doris A. Atkinson, 71, of Keansburg, passed away on Sunday March 21st, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was born in Martinsburg West Virginia, lived in Piscataway, prior to moving to Keansburg 22 years ago. Doris was the district manager for Marriott Corp for 20 years. She enjoyed being part of her neighborhood, and was the neighborhood watch, she also loved her trips to Atlantic City. Doris was pre-deceased by her husband Gerald Atkinson in 1979, her son Stephen Ritter in 2000 and her 2 brothers Andrew and James Gray. Surviving is her son Brian Atkinson of New York, her daughter Minta Deczynski of Keansburg, her brother Ace Gray of West Virginia, her sister Shelby Greenfield of West Virginia and 3 grandchildren Gerald, Joshua and Scott. Family will be accepting friends on Thursday 7-9PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
