Edward Joseph McNamara, 79, of Keansburg, passed away on Sunday, November 12th, at home surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, prior to moving to Keansburg. Edward retired after 39 years as a dispatcher for New York Transit Authority in 2000. He was a US Army Veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post 273. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially at Disney World and the Hazlet Pool Club. He was pre-deceased by his wife Mary McNamara in 2007; his brother and sister in-law John and Theresa McNamara. He is survived by three daughters and sons in-law; Marybeth Cowell of Keansburg, Suzanne and James Mazzaro of Florida and Eileen and George Hoff of Keansburg; his brother and sister in-law Michael and Jackie McNamara of Florida; four grandchildren; Christopher and Brittany Mazzaro, Grace Ann, Shea and Faith; his long-time companion Connie Robertelli; many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Family will be accepting friends on Wednesday from 4-8PM; at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. There will be a 10:15AM, Mass on Thursday, St. Ann’s Church, Keansburg.
