Evelyn E. Ruppel, 95 of Keyport, passed away on Sunday February 24th, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was born in Newark, lived in Middletown prior to moving to Keyport 5 years ago. Evelyn was a sales rep for WT Grant for 14 years, was a member of the American Legion Post # 6920 Ladies Auxiliary of Atlantic Highlands, an avid wrestling fan and enjoyed doing word find. Evelyn was pre-deceased by her husband William in 1962, her longtime companion Harvey Waters in 2001 and her daughter Marilyn Hayes in 2007. Surviving is her son and daughter in-law Jeffrey and Kathryn Ruppel of Middletown; 3 daughters and sons in-law Evelyn and Tom Murphy of Pennsylvania, Jackie and Jim Moody of Arizona and Joyce Ruppel and Phil Mayer of Indiana; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Family will be accepting friends on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg.
