Gloria J. Carhart, 59, of Keansburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 2nd, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was born in Newark and was a life-long resident of Keansburg. Gloria was a factory worker for Friedland in Matawan. She enjoyed Atlantic City, playing cards and Bingo; she loved cooking and her grandchildren. Gloria was pre-deceased by her parents George and Gloria Huhn, her husband Harry Carhart Sr. in 2013 and her twin sister Georgianna Kapec in 2005. Surviving are her two sons and daughters in-law Harry and Khristine Carhart Jr. of Texas and Allan and Dawn Carhart of Keansburg; two daughters and sons in-law Joy and Daniel Elmore of Middletown and Marcy and Brian McDade of Bloomfield; her companion Greg Rice of Keansburg; her brother Robert Huhn of Matawan; three sisters Kathy Martinez of Cliffwood Beach, Diane Homoky of South Carolina and Arlene Powers of North Carolina; eight loving grandchildren. Family will be accepting friends on Monday 6-8pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
