Helen “Butchie” Fiore, 74, of Keansburg, passed away on Monday, October 9th, at Laurel Bay Nursing Home, Keansburg. She was born and raised in Newark, prior to moving to Keansburg 52 years ago. Helen was a homemaker; she loved BINGO and trips to Atlantic City. She enjoyed watching soap operas and dancing with the stars. Helen was pre-deceased by her parents; Benjamin and Mary DeSantis; her late husband; Paul Fiore in 1988; her 2 sisters; Barbara DeSantis, Phyllis Siciliano and her brother; Ronald DeSantis. Surviving is her companion; of 27 years James Maxson of Keansburg; her son; Guidino Fiore of Florida; her daughter and son in-law; Tammy and Kenneth Walters of Keansburg; 3 brothers; Aniello and Benjamin DeSantis both of Virginia and Dino DeSantis of Brick; 3 sisters and brothers in-law; Jean Senatore of Middletown, Mildred and Fred Hettinger of Old Bridge and Debbie and Jim McMenemie of Middletown; 2 granddaughters; Nicole and Ashley Walters; Many nieces, nephews and extended family. Family will be accepting friends on Thursday 5-9pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. On Friday there will be a 10:15am Mass at St. Ann’s Church, Keansburg.
