James August Landgraf, 75, of Keansburg, passed away on Tuesday July 28th, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He was born in Brooklyn, New York. Lived in East Orange prior to moving to Keansburg 41 years ago. James was an Engineer for many years, loved the YMCA in Lakewood, was an avid gardener, an animal lover and advocate, enjoyed working on cars and with wood and loved boating and playing cards. James was pre-deceased by his wife Ann in 1990. Surviving are his 3 daughters Francesca Landgraf-Marx of Oxford, Lucinda Flaherty of Keansburg and Rachel Smith of Georgia, his granddaughter Hailey of Georgia and his loving companion Joan Conata. Family will be accepting friends on Friday from 4-8PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. A private cremation will follow at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Humane Society, The Popcorn Zoo or the Red Cross. Letters of condolences can be sent to www.jacquelinemryanfh.com
