Janet H. “Mimi” Zelko, 79, of Barnegat, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on, Saturday February 1st, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was born in Newark, raised in Hillside, lived in Middletown, prior to moving to Barnegat 7 years ago. Janet was a school bus aid for STA Transportation for the past 14 years, loved bingo, scratch offs, movies and Elvis. Surviving is her son Samuel Zelko Jr. of Atlantic Highlands; her daughter and son in-law Denise and Butch Cook of Barnegat; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Family will be having a private family memorial. Arrangements were under the direction of the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg.
