Jean Roy

Jean C. Roy, 100, of Middletown, passed away on Monday, March 7, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in New Milford, CT, lived in Terryville, CT, prior to moving to Middletown 5 years ago. Jean was a secretary many years ago for Avco- Lycoming in Stratford, CT, and was a member of the First Congregational Church of Stratford, CT. Jean was pre-deceased by her late husband Roland in 1986, her son Ralph Oppel, and lasted 7 of her siblings. Surviving is her son and daughter in-law Ronald and Dolores Roy of Middletown; her daughter in-law Mary Lou Oppel of Connecticut; 7 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Family will be accepting friends on Saturday 2-5pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
