com Joan M. Corby, 74, of Middletown, passed away on Monday, September 12th, at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. She was born and raised in Newark, prior to moving to Middletown 50 years ago. Joan was a teacher for Lloyd Road School in Aberdeen, was an active member of Middletown Art Society and started a knitting club called “Knitting with Joan”. Joan was pre-deceased by her parents George and Mary Corby and her sister in-law Winifred Corby. Surviving are her two brothers and sister in-law Robert and Ellen Marie Corby of Keansburg and William Corby of Middletown; beloved aunt of Robert, Christina and Michael and great aunt of Zachary, Ashleigh, Matthew, Megan and Jake. Family will be accepting friends on Thursday 3-7pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
