Jon Siegert

Jon J. Siegert Sr., 74, of Keansburg, passed away on Wednesday, Jan 5, at home. Mr. Siegert was born in Michigan, lived in Hoboken, prior to moving to Keansburg 38 years ago. Jon served in the U.S. Navy for many years. He worked for Langer Transport and Dina Bros. Trucking, as a truck driver, and recently as a crossing guard for the Borough of Keansburg. Mr. Siegert was a member of the American Legion Post 273, Keansburg and the V.F.W. Post 4303, West Keansburg. Mr. Siegert, was predeceased by his brother James Siegert and also his sister, Betty Tissue. Surviving are his wife of 48 years Carol; 2 sons, Jon J. Jr. and Steven both of Keansburg; 2 brothers William Siegert of Michigan and Robert Siegert of California. 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild Lauren, Jon III, Alexander, Emma and Lilly. Family will be accepting friends on Monday2-4 and 7-9PM at The Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. On Tuesday there will be a Mass at St. Ann's Church at 10:15AM Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery in Holmdel. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
