Margaret Cogan

Margaret Ann Cogan, 59, of South Amboy, passed away on Saturday, August 20th, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. She was born and raised in Manhattan, moved to Keansburg in April of 1970, lived in Asbury Park, prior to moving to South Amboy two years ago. Margaret was homemaker, enjoyed music and loved her grandchildren. Margaret was pre-deceased by her father Edward Thomas Russell in 1982; her former husband Thomas Cogan in 2011; two brothers William T. Russell in 2011 and Cornelius E. Russell in 2012; two sisters Patricia M. Keenan in 1971, Joann Cerreta in 2015 and her grandnephew Michael J. Pezzano in 1992. Surviving is her mother Muriel T. Russell of Keansburg; her son and daughter in-law Thomas P. Cogan and Katherine of Middletown; three grandchildren Thomas Jr., James and Caroline; her companion Charles Gunningham, three generations of many nieces and nephews. Family will be accepting friends on Thursday 4-8pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. On Friday there will be a 9:15AM Mass at St. Ann’s Church, Keansburg, Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Letters of condolences can be sent to www.jacquelinemryanfh.com
