Robert Winter

Robert L. Winter, 56, of Covington, Louisiana, passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer on Thursday April, 2nd, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Long Branch, lived in Keansburg, prior to moving to Louisiana in 1976. Robert was dedicated to his job at Halliburton Oilfield Services, for 30 years and was a Saints fan. Robert will always be remembered by his infectious smile, the bluest of eyes and his great dimples were the best. Robert was pre-deceased by his son Paul Winter; his parents, Mary and Robert Winter of Keansburg and his in-laws Hilton and Ruby Rhoto of Louisiana. Surviving are his loving wife, who he adored Kathy Rhoto-Winter of Louisiana; his sons Brian and Jeffrey Winter of Louisiana; his 2 brothers and sisters in-law William and Kelli Winter and James and Sally Winter; 5 sisters and brothers in-law Martha McGee, Lori & Steve Ryan, Susan Winter and Barbara Cruz, Margaret Winter and Elizabeth and James Merkel; his godmother Veronica Kane; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and treasured friends. He will be missed dearly. Family will be accepting friends for a memorial service on Thursday, April 9th from 4-6pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg.
