Ronald Jon Gilmartin Sr., 69, of Florida, (formally of Keansburg and Freehold), passed away on Saturday, August 8th, 2015. He was born in Newark, lived in Freehold and Keansburg, prior to moving to Florida 7 years ago. Ronald was OEM man (officer of emergency management) for Monmouth County; was a member of New Point Comfort Fire Company; played tenors drum in the Old Bridge Shillelagh and was a civilian employee of NJ State Police. Ronald was pre-deceased are his parents John J. and Clara Gilmartin; Surviving is his son Ronald Gilmartin Jr. of Toms River; 2 daughters Alissa Gilmartin of Red Bank and Samantha Gilmartin of Freehold; his brother and sister in-law Donald and Millie Gilmartin of Somerset; 2 sisters and brother in-law Ellen Motrinec of Florida and Joyce Cottrell and Bobby of Florida; many nieces and nephews. Family is requesting longtime friends to attend an Irish Wake, so please come and tell a story and raise a pint for Ronnie.
