Theresa Cumisky-O'Brien

Theresa M. Cumisky-O’Brien, 62, of Hazlet passed away on Saturday, October 11th, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was born in Newark and lived most of her life in the Hazlet, Keansburg area. Theresa was a school bus driver for Wehrle Bus Company in Cliffwood and for Old Bridge Township for over 35 years. She loved playing poker for World Tavern Poker, line dancing and country music. Theresa was pre-deceased by her brother Matthew Cumisky; Surviving is her loving husband of 42 years Robert O’Brien of Hazlet; her son and daughter in-law Robert and Brett O’Brien Jr. of North Carolina; her daughter Maureen O’Brien of Hazlet; her brother Edward Cumisky of Germany; 6 sisters Gladys Adler of Florida, Irene Lutz of Colorado, Patricia Dorsey of Hazlet, Barbara Rongo of Hazlet, Shirley Cumisky and Loretta Fisler both of Florida; 6 grandchildren Taylor, Morgan, Robbie, Savannah, Delaney and Kadence; many beloved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Family will be accepting friends on Monday 4-6PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers family will be accepting donations.
