Theresa Murphy

Theresa Ann Murphy, 86, of Port Monmouth, passed away on Tuesday February 19th, at home. She was born in Newark, lived in Paterson, prior to moving to Port Monmouth in 1969. Theresa was a lunch aid and a cashier for Port Monmouth School, she was a member of the Columbianets Keyport Council 3402 and sang in St. Ann's Choir. Theresa was pre deceased by her husband Francis Murphy in 2006 and her grandson Christopher Murphy in 2012. Surviving are her 3 sons and daughters in-law Leo and Virginia Murphy of Port Monmouth, Daniel and Mary Ann Murphy of Old Bridge and Timothy and Lynn Murphy of Matawan; her daughter and son in-law Paula and Bob Malastia of North Carolina; 4 grandchildren Shannon, Nicole, Danielle and Patrick and her great grandchildren Emily, Cody and John Patrick. Family will be accepting friends on Friday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg, Cremation will be private.
