Thomas Shields, 91, of Keansburg, passed away on Friday, July 15th, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was born in New York and lived there until 1964, lived in Hazlet, prior to moving to Keansburg. Thomas was an actor in his younger years; was a WWII Navy Veteran and was a member of D.A.V. Thomas was pre-deceased by his five brothers James, John, Francis, Hugh and Luke Shields; and his sister Mary Shields. Surviving is his brothers Eugene Shields of New York; his sister Eileen Woods of Barnegat; his niece Tara Leonard of Hazlet who was his care giver; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Family will be accepting friends on Tuesday at 10:15am St. Ann’s Church, Keansburg. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were under the direction of the Jacqueline M.
