Veronica A. Mass, 72, of Union Beach, passed away on Tuesday, May 26th, at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel. She was born and raised in Jersey City, prior to moving to Union Beach 36 years ago. Veronica was a nurse’s aide at Mt. Pleasant Manor, Matawan. She was very active in Holy Family Church and was part of the Golden Age Group. Veronica was predeceased by her mother, Evelyn Kenny; her husband, Albert Mass Jr. in 2018 and her son, Albert Mass III in 1994. Surviving are her three daughters, Joanna Mass and her husband Timothy Nutile of Union Beach, Crystal Mass of New York and Katherine Mass of Missouri; her brother, Howard Thornley of Patterson; four sisters, Evelyn Sivori of Saddle River, Joann Kaleda of Allamuchy, Geraldine Thornley of Bayonne, Venus Kane of Massachusetts and Athena Thornley of New York; five grandchildren. Arrangements were entrusted to the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
